Bruno Lage has been speaking about Chelsea ahead of Wolves’ upcoming meeting with the Pensioners.

Wolves vs Chelsea

Chelsea are scheduled to face off with Wolves on Sunday afternoon.

Thomas Tuchel’s side head into the game no doubt desperate to put an end to their dismal recent run of form, which has seen the Blues slip down to 3rd in the Premier League table, four points behind an in-form Manchester City side.

Chelsea’s last outing saw them take on Everton at Stamford Bridge. Granted, a few key stars were missing for the Pensioners, but they still should have had little issue dispatching an Everton side who had won one in nine and had personnel problems of their own.

But Chelsea were forced to settle for a point on the day, once again failing to keep a clean sheet.

Nevertheless, they really shouldn’t struggle to keep Wolves quiet in gameweek 18. Bruno Lage’s side have scored just 13 goals in 17 outings this term – the lowest in the division barring Norwich City.

Bruno Lage on Chelsea

Ahead of the game, Bruno Lage has been discussing Chelsea.

And, despite the Blues dropping off of late, the Portuguese has still made a big claim about them.

Lage stated that sides like Chelsea do not have bad moments, adding that they are one of the best teams in the world.

“These types of teams, they don’t have bad moments. They have big players and are one of the best teams in the world.

“They won the last Champions League, they have a lot of experience, the manager has a lot of experience, he can replace several players because they have a good squad, and they do very well in his system, so they are very hard guys to play against, and they dominate their system.

“They can play 3-4-3, 3-5-2 and they know how to play in both ways. But for us this is a challenge. That’s why, when I had this invitation from Wolves, I didn’t think twice. “This is the kind of thing you want, you want to compete, these are the teams me and my players want to play against. Every time is a massive challenge.”
