Reports stemming from Spain have linked Bayern Munich with Leeds star Raphinha.

Raphinha’s Leeds stint

Raphinha joined Leeds United during the delayed summer transfer window last year.

The Yorkshire outfit are believed to have paid Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais around £16m to bring the Brazilian to Elland Road.

And the former Sporting man has since gone on to enjoy a fine start to life with Leeds.

In 30 Premier League outings last term, Raphinha would score six and provide nine assists for Leeds.

Then, though Leeds as a squad have struggled, the South American has continued to impress on an individual level this term.

In 16 Premier League outings so far in 2021/22, Raphinha has managed to score a very impressive eight goals and provide one assist.

Bayern Munich linked with Raphinha

Now, as he continues to shine in England, the 25-year-old has been linked with a top European club.

The outfit in question? Bayern Munich.

According to Goal cutting Spanish outlet Todofichajes:

Bayern Munich are plotting a swoop for Leeds winger Raphinha – according to Todofichajes. The German champions will launch a €50 million (£42m/$56m) bid for the 25-year-old next summer if Kingsley Coman continues to stall on signing a new contract.

These Bayern links come in the same year Raphinha expressed his desire to play in the Champions League.

When he was asked whether he would like to be playing in the Champions League soon, Raphinha stated:

“Of course. I’m very happy at Leeds and hopefully we can play in the Champions League.”

Since those comments, Leeds have moved much closer to the relegation zone than a top-four spot. Could Leeds’ decline this season have an impact of Raphinha’s future at the club?
