Manchester United set to return to action

After having clashes with Brentford and Brighton called off through rising COVID-19 cases, Manchester United will be looking to continue their 100% Premier League record under new boss Ralf Rangnick when they take on Newcastle next week.

The Magpies are enduring a torrid campaign, having won once all season, and despite the deep-pocketed new owners, are heavy favourites to be relegated come May. Nevertheless, their performances have picked up somewhat under Eddie Howe, and they will prove much sterner test than they did when the Red Devils thrashed them 4-1 on Cristiano Ronaldo’s debut.

The key to Rangnick’s new reign will be keeping all his stars happy while also getting them to buy into his high-press philosophy, but he may have lost one already.

Martial keen for a move away

One man who is not happy in Manchester is French forward Anthony Martial. The former Monaco man has made just 2 starts for Manchester United in the Premier League this season to date, and has found himself an unused substitute more often than not, something that he has not reacted well to.

Speaking earlier this month, his agent revealed:

“Anthony wishes to leave the club in January.”

“He just needs to play. He doesn’t want to stay in January and I will speak to the club soon.”

And now, as per Sky Sports, he has his eye set on joining Sevilla, currently 2nd in La Liga, in a potential loan move should he be allowed to depart come the January transfer window.

Would this be a good move to reignite his career?
