Liverpool locked in Leicester City action

Liverpool are currently locked in action with Leicester City in the quarter final of the Carabao Cup, having fielded a much weakened side.

Tyler Morton was given another game after his performance against Tottenham at the weekend, while both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane were given the night off completely, with Diogo Jota on the substitutes bench.

And it was a nightmare start for the Reds, falling two goals behind thanks to a double from Jamie Vardy in the opening quarter of an hour, but pulled one back through Alex Oxlade Chamberlain before the halfway point of the first half.

However, an incredible strike from James Maddison from all of 30 yards out restored the Foxes’ two-goal advantage, and left Jurgen Klopp’s side with a mountain to climb in the second half.

Neco Williams in the firing line

Some Liverpool fans were quick to take one of their own to task, in the form of Neco Williams.

The young Welshman began the game as part of the front three, and that, combined with his performance did not go down well with the Anfield faithful, as can be seen below.
