West Ham’s fairytale ends

West Ham and David Moyes crashed out of the Carabao Cup at the quarter-final stage as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

The game was decided in a frantic 5 minutes during the first half, in which Tottenham took the lead, were pegged back, and ultimately scored the winner, which sees them in the hat for the semi-finals.

The Hammers will look back with fondness at their run, that saw them knock out both Manchester City and Manchester United before falling afoul of Antonio Conte and Tottenham. However, they will rue their lack of squad depth, as they struggled without Michail Antonio, who missed out through COVID, as well as defensive pair Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna.

With their brilliant start threatening to fizzle out, they need help by the way of January reinforcements come the transfer window, and West Ham fans have told Moyes just where they are needed.

Dumb and dumber- pair pointed to as liabilities

Amid the defeat, West Ham fans took to social media in their droves to target two players in West Ham claret and blue that needed moving on, in the shapes of Issa Diop and Arthur Masuaku.

The pair had an evening to forget on the left side of the Hammers defence, and the West Ham faithful wasted no time in letting them know.
