Manchester United’s football director John Murtough has recently been discussing the club’s recruitment ahead of January.

Manchester United to hand Ralf Rangnick January budget?

Ralf Rangnick is, of course, Manchester United’s manager of the remainder of the season.

The German is then expected to be transitioning into a consultancy role for the club for the following two years.

This, in turn, looks set to see Rangnick quite heavily involved in Manchester United’s recruitment going forward.

And, though he may not be manager beyond this season, it has already been reported that the former RB Leipzig boss will be allowed a January transfer budget.

Manchester United overhaul recruitment

Elsewhere, as mentioned above, Man United’s football director John Murtough has recently been discussing Rangnick and the club’s recruitment.

Firstly, Murtough spoke about how Manchester United wishes to draw on the expertise of Rangnick for their long-term goals.

“We have an agreement with Ralf to stay on for a further two years in a consultancy role – allowing us to continue drawing on his expertise and advice to support our longer-term goals.

This was followed by the United chief claiming that Manchester United’s recruitment process has been overhauled:

“Our recruitment process has been overhauled and the Academy strengthened, and our investments in these areas are going to bring long-term benefits.

“Ole got us heading in the right direction and now we’re looking to take the next steps on the journey back to success. We believe the first team squad is the strongest it has been since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, and we have some fantastic young talent coming through.”

With it already claimed Rangnick will have a January transfer budget, could we see Manchester United’s new-look recruitment in place in the coming weeks?
