Arsenal to take on Norwich

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta look to carry on their good form as they travel to Carrow Road to take on bottom of the league Norwich City.

The Gunners have won three games on the bounce in the Premier League, including impressive performances against Southampton and West Ham, and know that a win will see them in the top four come the start of 2021, a stark contrast from last season.

And, with two games in less than 48 hours for Arteta and co., with the north London outfit facing Wolves on the 28th December too, there could be some squad rotation involved in their team selection against the East Anglian side.

Arsenal handed personnel boost

And now, the Gunners have released their team news ahead of the Boxing Day encounter.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not expected to feature after a disciplinary breach has seen him miss the last three games, and with his Arsenal future very much in the air after being publically stripped of the club captaincy.

Elsewhere, Sambi Lokonga, Calum Chambers and Pablo Mari are all set to miss out after testing positive for COVID-19 last week.

However, there has been positive news, as Takehiro Tomiyasu has been passed fit, according to the official Arsenal website.

The Japanese defender has been a key cornerstone of Arteta’s side since he joined on deadline day from Bologna, but was substituted after an hour in their 4-1 thrashing of Leeds United with a potential injury.

His recovery will come as a massive boost to Arsenal and their fanbase alike, ahead of a busy festive schedule where they play 3 times in 5 days.
