Manchester United set for a busy January?

It could be a busy transfer window for Manchester United and Ralf Rangnick, as a tame draw against Newcastle United demonstrated the gaping cracks in the Red Devils side.

A central midfielder is a must, with Scott McTominay struggling and Fred hooked at half time at St James’ Park. Another, more energetic forward would not go amiss either, although with the current options any addition in this area seems unlikely.

There could also be a swathe of exits too, with Dean Henderson, Donny Van De Beek and Jesse Lingard all starved of playing time so far this season.

One Man, however, could be closer to the exit door than others.

Outcast subject to loan offer

As per Sky Sports, Sevilla have made their move for Anthony Martial.

The forward has confirmed his desire to depart Manchester United this month, with the World Cup in November 2022 almost certainly on his mind, having been limited to just 2 Premier League starts this season.

As per the report:

The La Liga club’s proposal is a straight loan until the end of the season that does not include an option nor obligation to buy. United are yet to respond to the Spanish club.

Given the lack of game time that the Frenchman is currently stuck with, a move could benefit all parties, with Martial rediscovering his form in the shop window, and either returning to Manchester an improved player or increasing any potential fee that United could get for him should they cash in.

Should he be let go?
