Barcelona seal deal for Frankfurt’s Fabio Blanco
Spanish giants Barcelona continue to spend in the run-up to the official opening of the January transfer window after sealing a deal for 17-year-old Spanish starlet Fabio Blanco.
Barcelona are set to sign the 17 year old winger Fabio Blanco from Eintracht Frankfurt. Deal confirmed – he’s gonna sign until June 2024 as reported by @tjuanmarti @albert_roge. ??? #FCB
The deal will be completed in January and not in the summer. Paperworks ready to be signed.

According to multiple sources including Fabrizio Romano, Christopher Michel, Blanco is set to join Barcelona in January as opposed to the summer after spending just half a season with Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.
Blanco came highly-rated from Valencia’s academy before his July move to Frankfurt, but his tenure in the financial capital of the country has hardly worked out and has only featured for the U19’s while failing to break into the first-team set up under Oliver Glasner.
Youth movement in Catalonia continues
With the deal for Fabio Blanco set to be completed, the vibe around Barcelona in the new Xavi regime is very much one that is focusing on youth and along-term rebuild in the wake of the Spanish giants and club legend Lionel Messi parting ways in the summer.
The move for Blanco comes in the wake of the club bringing in another Spanish starlet in the vein of Manchester City’s Ferran Torres.
Both Torres (21) and Blanco (17) will be added to a cadre of brimming young talent on offer at Barcelona that signals a bright future at Camp Nou.
Álex Collado, Ez Abde, Ansu Fati, Nico González, Riqui Puig, Gavi, Pedri, Sergiño Dest, Álex Balde, Óscar Mingueza, Eric García, Ronaldo Araújo, and Iñaki Peña are all 22-years-old or younger. If this is anything indication, Barcelona are simply on the cusp of completely a rebuild that could bear fruit for years to come.
