CR7 amongst the goals

Ralf Rangnick’s men are, of course, currently locked in action at Old Trafford.

In the final Premier League fixture of the year, the Red Devils have welcomed relegation-battling Burnley to the Theatre of Dreams, eyeing a swift return to winning ways.

And, as things stand early in the 2nd-half of action on Thursday, this is precisely what United are headed towards.

An improved opening 45-minute display saw the hosts race out to a 3-goal advantage with time to spare before the interval, owing to strikes from Scott McTominay and Cristiano Ronaldo, either side of Ben Mee’s unfortunate own goal.

Aaron Lennon did manage to pull one back for Burnley with 38 minutes on the clock, but United, nevertheless, look well on their way to all three points.

Maguire targeted

As alluded to above, however, despite their side’s advantage as things stand at Old Trafford, many of a Red Devils persuasion have nevertheless been quick to make their frustrations with one member of Ralf Rangnick’s setup crystal clear amid this evening’s action.

The player in question? Harry Maguire.

Captain Maguire enjoyed a less-than-ideal opening 45 minutes versus Burnley, regularly bullied amid his efforts to out-muscle the physical Chris Wood, and not exactly covering himself in glory en route to Aaron Lennon’s goal.

In turn, as so often proves the case, the United faithful have not been at all shy in making clear their collective opinion that the English international is simply not good enough, with just some of the social media highlights showcased below:
