Antonio Conte & Tottenham

Antonio Conte took charge of Tottenham last month and has since improved the club’s form a fair bit.

In the Premier League, Conte has taken charge of seven games so far, drawing with Everton, beating Leeds, Brentford and Norwich before playing out an enthralling 2-2 draw with Liverpool, hammering Crystal Palace 3-0 and, most recently seeing off Watford by one goal to nil on Saturday thanks to a Davinson Sanchez winner in the 96th minute.

This has seen Spurs move up to 6th in the Premier League with the Lilywhites having at least two games in hand on the two teams above them which, if they win them all, could potentially see them move up to 4th in the table.

However, though Spurs have had a solid start to life under Conte, the former Juventus man is no doubt aware that this side is by no means the finished article.

Tottenham duo like Adama Traore

Now, an insight into one of the players Conte may look to target at Tottenham has been provided.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is quoted by the Express as saying that both Antonio Conte and Spurs’ director Fabio Paratici appreciate Wolves winger, Adama Traore:

“Super-appreciated by Fabio Paratici, super-appreciated. Super-appreciated by Antonio Conte.

“So it’s a name I would monitor. I don’t know if in January he’ll be able to leave Wolves.

“But I’m sure that his name [is on] the list of Tottenham.”

Whilst Tottenham could probably do with some fresh legs on the right-wing, do they really want to target Traore?

The winger is obviously very fast and is an excellent dribbler, but his end product is non-existent and he has failed to score or assist a single goal for Wolves in 19 games this season.
