Real Madrid edge through Copa Del Rey test

Real Madrid survived a scare to come through the Copa Del Rey with a 3-1 victory over Alcoyano, thanks to goals from Isco, Marco Asensio and Eder Militao.

Los Blancos named a strong side and took the lead with their first effort on target, only to be pegged back midway through the second half. The scare lasted just 10 minutes, however, as Asensio restored their lead with 15 minutes left to play, before Isco rounded off the rout with a comedy-strewn goal two minutes later.

And while it was a strong Real Madrid side that took to the field against the minnows, it can now get even stronger.

Star man trains ahead of Valencia clash

One man who missed the clash with Alcoyano was world-class winger Vinicius Junior, who has been sidelined with Coronavirus for all of 2022.

However, as per Spanish outlet El Mundo Deportivo, he has now returned to training, which will come as a massive boost to the Madrid faithful.

The outlet even goes as far as to say that the Brazilian starlet will be ready to play against Valencia, with the game due to take place on Saturday evening.

The 21 year old has been in red hot form for Los Blancos, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists in 19 La Liga outings, as well as two goals and 4 assists in 6 Champions League games.

Widely regarded as one of the most exciting talents on the planet, the Spanish outfit will be very grateful to have him back.
