Footage of Crystal Palace star Michael Olise, stemming from the club’s meeting with Millwall earlier today, has gone viral across social media.

Eagles march on

Patrick Vieira’s men marked their return to action a short time ago.

On the back of a disappointing 3-2 defeat at the hands of West Ham last time out, the Eagles, on Saturday, turned their attentions towards the FA Cup, eyeing a bounce-back result in a 3rd round trip to Championship outfit Millwall.

And, when all was said and done, return to winning ways is precisely what Palace managed.

A hard-fought 90 minutes eventually saw the visitors emerge on the right side of a 2-1 scoreline, to book their spot in the 4th round.

Michael Olise proved the undisputed star of the show, pulling Palace back on level terms early in the 2nd-half, before teeing up Jean-Philippe Mateta for what ultimately proved to be the winner just shy of the hour mark.

Palace talent stands up tall

It is not Olise’s stellar display across the 90 minutes at The Den, however, which has in fact resulted in the 20-year-old stealing the headlines post-match.

Instead, this has come owing to the Palace talent’s brilliant reaction to being targeted by the Millwall support.

Amid a tense atmosphere in east London, which also saw Conor Gallagher subjected to homophobic chanting, Olise, in his efforts to take a corner, was struck by a bottle from the home crowd.

Instead of going to ground as so many no doubt would have in the same situation, though, the talented young attacker simply opted to remove the bottle in question from the field of play, before essentially urging the Millwall faithful to ‘keep it coming’:
