Supporters of Premier League giants Arsenal have flooded to social media on Sunday evening, to take aim at the club’s stars on the back of their showing versus Nottingham Forest.
Grabban sends Arsenal packing
The Gunners were of course back in action a short time ago.
After seeing their scheduled Carabao Cup semi-final meeting with Liverpool postponed at the last during the week, Mikel Arteta’s troops turned their attentions towards matters in England’s other headline cup competition – the FA Cup.
Arsenal, severely under-manned in the absence of the likes of Thomas Partey, Nicolas Pepe, Granit Xhaka and Emile Smith Rowe, made the trip to the City Ground, hopeful of joining Chelsea, Tottenham and more in the 4th round at the expense of the aforementioned Forest.
When all was said and done, however, the capital giants were on the receiving end of one of the shocks of the round in the FA Cup.
A hugely underwhelming display ultimately culminated in Arteta and co. being put to the sword by a goal to nil, to see their silverware hopes for the campaign dealt a heavy blow.
The evening’s telling moment was forthcoming inside the closing ten minutes of action, as a Forest breakaway eventually resulted in the ball being squared across the face of goal for Lewis Grabban to slot home from close range:

‘Not good enough’
On the back of the full-time whistle sounding at the City Ground, it therefore shouldn’t come as all that much of a surprise to hear of the Arsenal faithful being up in arms across social media.
Owing to a frankly dismal display on the part of their side, Gunners fans have directed their frustrations at a whole host of targets, including boss Mikel Arteta.
It is three players in particular, however, who have come in for the brunt of the criticism.
The trio in question? Rob Holding, Cedric Soares and Eddie Nketiah:
Cedric, holding & nketiah are not good enough get them out of the club #NOFARS

Done with Cedric, Nketiah and Holding. They aren’t the level we need and now we know!

Cedric Holding Nketiah. If this club is serious will be playing for different clubs next season. Not good enough.
