Digne ready to leave Everton
World Cup winning defender Lucas Digne is ready to leave Everton this transfer window, having fallen out with boss Rafa Benitez and been frozen out of the side since.
And while it was Chelsea seemingly most in need of a defender this month, it is instead Aston Villa that have emerged as an unlikely home for the Frenchman.

And it seems to be moving in the right direction for the Villains.
Digne “accepted personal terms”
Now according to talkSPORT, the deal has just got closer.
The Frenchman has now “accepted personal terms with Aston Villa” and is “ready” to put pen to paper on a “long term contract” that will see him join fellow former Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho in what is shaping up to be an astounding transfer window for Steven Gerrard’s Villa.

The fee remains high, at potentially up to 25 million pounds, but with Digne bringing more Premier League experience as well as already being in his prime at 28 years-old, he could prove a very shrewd signing.
Will Villa continue to pull off statement signings in an attempt to turn around their season, with Yves Bissouma linked with a move to Villa Park? Or will this addition prove the end of their January business?
