Ndombele continues to struggle
Tottenham signed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon in the summer of 2019.
Ndombele would not hit the ground running at Spurs, with the midfielder seemingly struggling to adapt to the aggressive nature of the Premier League and its physical demands.
But when Jose Mourinho left the club and was replaced by Nuno Espirito Santo, some Tottenham fans were no doubt hopeful we would finally see the best of Ndombele in a Spurs shirt.
However, the midfielder would continue to struggle under Nuno before he was sacked and replaced by Antonio Conte.
Ndombele wants Tottenham exit
Yet again, though, Ndombele has not exactly set the world alight under the decorated Italian.
And, after his display this past weekend, the final nail looks to have been put in Ndombele’s Tottenham coffin.
The Frenchman started in the FA Cup vs Morecambe, a tie Spurs were expected to win with ease.
However, the Lilywhites went behind and did not equalise until the 76th minute.
By this point, Ndombele had already been hooked off to a loud chorus of boos from the Tottenham faithful:
#thfc Loud boos around the stadium as Ndombele walks off very, very slowly after being replaced by Kane. He went straight down the tunnel. That felt..terminal…

Now, following that game, The Athletic have reported that Ndombele is hopeful of a move away from Tottenham this month.
The north London outfit are said to also want him to leave, but the question of price is an issue.
Ndombele is believed to be on £200,000-a-week right now. But given he has spent the last two and a bit years putting in some woeful displays, who would want to pay him that now?
– Ndombele hopeful of move away this month
– Spurs want him to go
– Feeling on all sides that move is needed
– Senior #THFC figures disappointed with his reaction to being subbed
– But issues remains: who can afford him?
