Roy Keane has recently been full of praise for an Arsenal player. The player in question? 20-year-old England international, Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal on the up

Arsenal finally appear to be finding their feet in the Premier League under Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners are 4th in the division at present. And, whilst they could be knocked off that spot by Tottenham if the Lilywhites win their two games in hand, Arsenal are still firmly in the hunt for that 4th place.

Part of the reason for Arsenal’s recent upturn in form in the PL is due to the starring displays of many a young talent.

The likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, Emile Smith Rowe and Aaron Ramsdale have shone for the Gunners.

Roy Keane praises Saka

Over the last few years, though, it is fair to say that Bukayo Saka has been Arsenal’s most consistently impressive player.

In the Premier League this term, Saka has scored six goals and provided four assists for the north London outfit.

And now, when discussing Saka recently, Roy Keane – a man typically very reserved when it comes to praise – suggested that Saka has a chance of becoming a great, great player:

“He could play for any of the big teams in England and Europe. I think he’s a special talent.

“He has the ability to beat a man, make something happen. What I like about him is when he speaks he seems a humble kid.

“He has a chance of becoming a great, great player.”

Saka and Arsenal’s next outing will come on Thursday when they take on Liverpool in the first of two League Cup semi-final ties.
