Pablo Mari set to leave
In the first news of the day, Spanish defender Pablo Mari is set to leave the club on loan, with a move to Serie A side Udinese lined up.
The defender was Mikel Arteta’s first Arsenal signing, and was highly-rated in part due to his left-footedness, but has not played for the club since being bullied by Romelu Lukaku in the Gunners 2-0 defeat to Chelsea on Matchday 2.
And while, at present, the move is only a loan, it is hard to see a way back for the Spaniard, with William Saliba set to return in the summer.

Will Arsenal be able to cope with just Rob Holding as a backup defender until then?
Kolasinac also set to depart
And, in what seems to be a significant clearout from Mikel Arteta, fringe player Sead Kolasinac is also set to depart this month. The Bosnian has not played a meaningful game for the club since he started the 5-0 defeat to Manchester City in August, and with six months left on his contract, has probably played his last game for the club.
Now, it appears as though he could be joining Matteo Guendouzi and William Saliba on loan at Marseilles, with the French side pushing hard for his signature.

It is unclear at this time whether it would be a loan or a permanent deal, but either way Arsenal may have seen the last of Kolasinac.
Arthur details emerge
Arsenal’s hunt for midfield cover has seemingly led them to the door of Juventus, for Brazilian Arthur Melo.
The Gunners are keen on a loan move for the midfielder, although any move could be held up by Juve’s need for a replacement first.
However, the Gunners are reportedly willing to cover the Brazilian’s salary, as a loan move edges closer. All parties are keen on the move, it is just up to the Turin club to give the green light.
More on Arthur Melo deal for Arsenal. Arteta approves him, Arsenal are also prepared to cover his salary. But it’s up to Juventus – no green light yet for a loan move, and they’d need a replacement. ?? #AFC

Would he be a good addition to Arsenal’s midfield, or should they be aiming higher?
