Norwich vs Everton

Everton are back in Premier League action on Saturday afternoon.

The Toffees face a trip to Carrow Road for a meeting with Premier League basement dwellers, Norwich City.

Everton head into the game in simply retched form. Rafa Benitez’s side did win their FA Cup meeting with Hull last weekend.

However, their league form is simply woeful. The Merseysiders have won just one of their last 12 Premier League outings.

Before that awful run, though, Everton’s last win did see them pick up a 2-0 win over Norwich all the way back on September 25th.

And whilst Norwich did experience a slight upturn in form when Dean Smith took over, the Canaries are back to losing ways now. They have won just two games all season, are the lowest scorers in the PL with eight and have conceded the most goals in the division with 44.

So, an Everton win is seemingly a must if Rafa Benitez does not want the Everton faithful to completely turn on him.

Rafa Benitez on transfers

Before facing Norwich, Rafa Benitez spoke to the press on Friday.

When doing so, the Spaniard would confirm that Tom Davies is out of the Norwich game.

Elsewhere, Benitez was asked about further transfers this month, stating that they are always looking to strengthen the squad and whilst Everton are happy with the three players brought in, they are open-minded to another addition:

“We are always looking to strengthen the squad. The reality is we’ve balanced the books, which I think is a positive. We are open to any good option.

“At the moment we’re happy with the three we’ve brought. But we are open-minded.”
