Tottenham under Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte took charge of Tottenham back in November, and has since improved the club’s form somewhat, at least in the Premier League.

In the Premier League, Conte has taken charge of eight games so far, remaining unbeaten throughout, and most recently seeing off Watford by a goal to nil last Saturday thanks to a Davinson Sanchez winner in the 96th minute.

This has seen Spurs move up to 6th in the Premier League table, with the Lilywhites boasting at least two games in hand on the two teams above them – fixtures which, if they win, could see them climb to 4th in the table.

Elsewhere though, Tottenham’s fringe squad struggled to see off League One outfit Morecambe in the 3rd round of the FA Cup and would be beaten 3-0 by Chelsea over two legs of their League Cup semi-final.

Could Conte quit Tottenham?

So, it is fairly obvious that Conte needs to be backed in the market to improve his squad.

A back-up striker/competition for Harry Kane appears to be a must, whilst a new right-wing-back is probably needed given the subpar showings of Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty of late.

Conte did confirm earlier this week that he had met with Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici to discuss transfers.

But as we near the half-way point of the winter window, Spurs are still yet to sign anyone.

Now, the Daily Mail are reporting that Tottenham players fear Conte could quit next month if he is not backed with new signings in the January transfer window:
