Manchester City vs Chelsea

Manchester City and Chelsea went head-to-head at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea headed into the clash knowing that a loss on the day would see them fall 13 points behind table-topping Manchester City with 16 games left to play, all but ending their hopes of securing the Premier League crown.

Despite this, Chelsea looked second-best for much of the 90 minutes in Manchester and eventually fell to a 1-0 defeat after Kevin De Bruyne burst forward from the halfway line to smash an effort in from the edge of the box.

Manchester City are now 13 points above Chelsea and 14 above Liverpool, though Jurgen Klopp’s side do have two games in hand on the league leaders.

Why Tuchel got angry with Sarr

Following what proved to be a disastrous afternoon for Chelsea, it has been revealed why Thomas Tuchel got angry with Malang Sarr.

Sarr was handed a rare start in the Premier League due to Andreas Christensen being out with Covid-19 and Cesar Azpilicueta having to fill in at right-wing-back due to Reece James being out.

Sarr, though, to his credit, put on a largely solid display and spent much of his day clearing up after Marcos Alonso.

However, there was one moment in the match that Sarr incured the wrath of Thomas Tuchel.

As per football.london, this came when Sarr played a slack pass straight out of play and not to Alonso, which lead to Tuchel jumping up and down in his technical area before turning around and moaning to his assistant coaches.
