Droves of Chelsea supporters have taken to social media, to call for their side to swoop for club legend and Real Madrid outcast Eden Hazard.

Modric amongst the goals

Carlo Ancelotti’s Real were of course back in action late last night.

After getting the better of Clasico rivals Barcelona to book their spot in the competition showpiece during the week, Los Blancos went head to head with Athletic Club, for the Supercopa de Espana title.

And, when all was said and done at the King Fahd Stadium, the fine campaign being enjoyed by the La Liga table-toppers only continued.

First, late in the first-half, Luka Modric rolled back the years courtesy of a superb finish from the edge of the area to put Real in front:

Then, on the other side of the interval, Karim Benzema put Ancelotti’s men out of sight, courtesy of a typically ruthless strike from 12 yards:

Despite Eder Militao’s late dismissal, Real, from here, held on to their two-goal advantage, to secure the 12th Super Cup in the club’s fabled history.

‘Bring him home’

As alluded to above, though, on the back of the final whistle sounding on Sunday, not all of a Blancos persuasion were exactly over the moon.

This comes with one member of Ancelotti’s squad in particular having actually gone viral, owing to his miserable expression post-match.

The player in question? Eden Hazard.

Belgian wide-man Hazard, after remaining glued to the bench throughout the Super Cup amid an increasingly frustrating stint in Madrid, could not have looked less interested during his side’s celebrations, and even opted to take his medal off in the game’s aftermath:

And fans of former club Chelsea were evidently hit hard by the images of their one-time star man, with the Blues faithful having since flooded to social media, to send a crystal clear message to those in charge of transfers at Stamford Bridge:
