Pogba injured on international duty

While in training for his national side, France, Pogba suffered a serious injury.

It was initially thought that the Frenchman would miss the rest of 2021 with the issue, but return in the New Year. However Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick played that down last week, saying:

“As far as I know, I was told a week ago, it would be a minimum of at least another four or five weeks before he is fit for training again.

“I saw him this morning before the training session, he was in the locker room, and I hope he will be back as soon as possible.”

This would have seen Pogba return to training in March, as opposed to the January that he was expected to be back for initially, as United continue to lack a spark in midfield during his absence.

However, some eagle-eyed Manchester United fans think he may be back sooner than expected.

Pogba recovery clue given away

Now, it has emerged that Pogba may well already be back in full training for the Red Devils.

This comes from an ordinary picture on fellow Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo’s Instagram.

As players sometimes do, he posted a picture of the winning “team” from the small-sided games that occur in training.

And, to the surprise of many, Paul Pogba can clearly be seen as part of the victorious side.

This would indicate that the World Cup winner is indeed back in full training, despite what Rangnick claims, and that we could see him back in the Manchester United squad sooner rather than later.

And while he is likely to walk away for free in the summer when his current deal expires, he could be a valuable option until then.
