Two lesser-seen members of the setup at Premier League giants Chelsea were spotted in first-team training today, ahead of the club’s meeting with Tottenham Hotspur.

First up comes youngster Lewis Hall.

17-year-old Hall of course saw his name cast into the spotlight earlier this month, after shining in his senior Chelsea debut en route to Man of the Match honours against Chesterfield in the FA Cup.

And, evidently, the versatile midfielder did enough to prove his lasting first-team credentials to boss Thomas Tuchel, having been spotted back in training alongside the rest of the club’s senior stars on Friday.

Also amongst Tuchel’s troops, meanwhile, was Kenedy.

Gifted wide-man Kenedy spent the opening half of the campaign on loan back in his native country of Brazil, drifting in and out of the first-choice XI at Flamengo.

Amid the club’s crisis on the left owing to the season-ending injury suffered by Ben Chilwell, though, the powers-that-be at Stamford Bridge opted to recall the 25-year-old prematurely upon the opening of the January transfer window.

And Kenedy, like Hall, has since remained under the watch of the Chelsea coaching staff, ahead of a potential spot in the club’s matchday squad to face Tottenham.

Blues faltering

To say that Chelsea’s upcoming showdown with Spurs has emerged as something of a must-win fixture would be an understatement.

The Pensioners, on the back of a strong opening to the campaign, have majorly stuttered of late, with just two points secured from an available twelve over the course of the last three weeks having seen Tuchel and co. all-but surrender their status as Premier League title contenders.

Not only that, but, if they ultimately fall to defeat at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening, then Chelsea will see their capital rivals climb within five points of them in the English top-flight, whilst boasting a hefty four games in hand.
