Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are set to take on Crystal Palace this coming Sunday at 2 pm UK time.

Ahead of the game, the German would speak to the press on Friday. When doing so, Klopp spoke about a number of topics, including Harvey Elliott.

The midfielder has been out of action since September, but Klopp is pretty sure Elliott will be back after the international break:

It has also been reported that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could return this weekend after picking up an injury vs Brentford.

Liverpool chasing Manchester City

Liverpool would return to winning ways last weekend, seeing off Brentford by three goals to nil.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s side had dropped points in their previous three Premier League matches.

As a result, the Merseysiders have fallen well off the pace of current leaders, Manchester City.

Liverpool do have a game in hand on the Sky Blues, but even if they win that, they would still be eight points adrift of Manchester City side who are showing no signs of declining.

So, it is obviously imperative that Liverpool pick up a win vs Crystal Palace when they face them on Sunday.

The Eagles are currently 11th in the Premier League, but have won just one of their last five PL outings.

And Liverpool fans will likely be hoping for a repeat of their 7-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace from last season, though Klopp suggested that would not be happening this time around: “That was a one off! These days happen, it’s a freak of nature and it doesn’t happen usually.

“Every shot we hit [went in]. They’ve changed and improved. They look like a really stable team now. “It’s a really good Premier League team with a few really unlucky results I would say. We expect a really tough team.”
