Arsenal appear to be closing in on their 5th departure of the January transfer window.

The Gunners have already seen Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Pablo Mari and Folarin Balogun depart on loan for AS Roma, Udinese and Middlesbrough respectably.

Sead Kolasinac has also left the club, joining Marseille on a free transfer after his contract was ended with Arsenal.

And now, Arsenal look as though they will be sanctioning a 4th loan move very soon.

The player reportedly set for the loan is Tyreece John-Jules, with the Yorkshire Examiner reporting that Sheffield Wednesday are in advanced talks to sign forward Tyreece John-Jules from Arsenal. It is believed the Owls have agreed a deal with the Premier League side to take the forward on loan for the rest of the season.

John-Jules, 20, has not played a senior game for Arsenal but had been quite the prolific scorer at youth level for the Gunners.

The youngster would also spend the first half of this campaign on loan in the Championship with Blackpool. However, his spell was not the most prolific and he did not score a single goal in 12 outings.

Who else should Arsenal transfer?

Whilst not as excessive as last year, Arsenal have once again used the January window to help clear some dead wood from their squad, with Pablo Mari and Sead Kolasinac’s departures the obvious options this month.

But a case could still be made that Mikel Arteta needs to trim a few more players from previous failed regimes.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has not played for Arsenal since November after disciplinary issues and has been linked with a move away this year. Elsewhere, Granit Xhaka and Calum Chambers have probably also overstayed their welcome at the Emirates.
