A still image stemming from Manchester United’s meeting with West Ham this afternoon has culminated in Mason Greenwood being widely targeted by the Red Devils faithful.

The photo in question highlights a glorious first-half opportunity for Saturday’s hosts to open the scoring, only to fluff their lines at the crucial moment.

After the aforementioned Greenwood latched onto the ball inside the West Ham area, the English international was faced up by a pair of Irons defenders.

All the while, both Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes, the former in particular, patiently awaited a pass from their young teammate, amid considerably more promising positions in front of the visitors goal.

Greenwood, though, instead chose to take aim at Lukasz Fabianski’s net, much to the frustration of his fellow Red Devils attackers:

‘Selfish’

This in fact marked just one of several occasions over the course of the opening 45 minutes at Old Trafford this afternoon on which Greenwood opted to take on a speculative shot himself, rather than tee up one of his teammates.

And, evidently, those of a Manchester United persuasion, in turn, have too begun to lose patience with the club’s gifted young attacker.

Taking to social media in their droves, the Red Devils faithful have not been shy in taking aim at Greenwood, with one word widely utilised to describe the recent displays on the part of the 20-year-old:
