Arsenal have been dealt a double blow in the past 48 hours, as first Juventus swooped for Dusan Vlahovic, and then Newcastle made a move for Bruno Guimaraes, both of whom were thought to be targets for this January.

And, with Arsenal seemingly in need of both a midfielder and a striker, it is safe to say the news has not gone down too well with the Gunners faithful. And now, with speculation ramping up, two more players have been linked with moves to the Emirates that fit the bill.

First on the list is Victor Osimhen, Napoli’s star forward.

Italian reports suggest that the Gunners would be interested in the Nigerian, who has netted 9 times in 16 games this season, but it is unclear whether a late move would be possible.

They are not the only club interested in the Naples man either, with other English clubs and a club in Spain all also circling.

But, given that Napoli brought him to Italy from Lille for over 70 million euros, he wont come cheap.

Douglas Luiz on the cards?

Another man linked with a move to north London is Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz, who is seemingly out of favour under Steven Gerrard.

The 23 year old Brazilian has worked with Mikel Arteta before at Manchester City, and offers the left-footed option that the Spaniard craves.

And, with 18 months left on his current contract at Villa Park, he has not been offered another, while the Villains remain keen on Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus, who plays the same position.

It could entice the Gunners into a late swoop.
