Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo is primed to depart the club before the January transfer window slams shut, it has been confirmed.

The wide-man’s upcoming destination? Scottish champions Rangers.

As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Amad will link up with Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s troops on loan for the remainder of the campaign. The Gers will not have the option to make the move permanent come the summer.

Amad’s imminent exit comes on the back of direct approval from manager Ralf Rangnick, after the gifted Ivorian saw a planned loan move to Dutch giants Feyenoord fall through during the summer owing to a last-minute injury concern.

He has since returned to full fitness, but unsurprisingly struggled for game-time amid the embarrassment of riches boasted in Manchester United’s attacking ranks.

VDB to follow?

Amad’s departure is set to mark the 2nd from Old Trafford in the space of a just a few days, but may not come as the last, if the latest word in the media is anything to go by.

Anthony Martial was of course granted a loan move of his own earlier this week, linking up with La Liga high-flyers Sevilla for the remainder of the campaign.

And following both out the door on the red half of Manchester ahead of the transfer deadline next Monday is likely to be Donny van de Beek, as Crystal Palace step up their pursuit of the criminally under-utilised Dutchman.
