An insight into when we could see Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott make his senior return for the Reds has been provided on Saturday.

Harvey Elliott was a regular feature for Jurgen Klopp’s side at the start of 2021/22, linking up well with Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold down Liverpool’s right flank.

However, Elliott suffered an injury in gameweek four of the Premier League season that has ruled him out of senior action since.

Liverpool faced off with Leeds United in a Premier League clash in September. Unfortunately for the midfielder, he would pick up a nasty-looking injury at the hands of Leeds United’s Pascal Struijk.

Now though, Elliott’s road to recovery looks to be nearing its completion.

As reported by Paul Joyce of The Times, Harvey Elliott played in a behind closed doors U23s game against Wrexham on Saturday, scoring one and assisting one.

It is added that Liverpool arranged the match for Elliott, which should put him in contention for Liverpool’s FA Cup tie with Championship outfit Cardiff City next weekend.
