How much Chelsea would need to pay Serie A outfit AS Roma to re-sign Tammy Abraham has been revealed.

Abraham would join the Serie A outfit on a permanent basis over the summer for a reported fee of €36m.

Now though, AS Roma director Tiago Pinto has confirmed that the Blues do have a buy-back clause for the striker.

He adds that the clause is not valid this summer and he is not worried about it: “There’s a buy back clause into Abraham contract but it’s not gonna be valid this summer – I’m not even worried, we’re happy with Tammy and he’s doing great.”

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, meanwhile, has put the buy-back clause at €80m:

Should Chelsea re-sign Tammy Abraham?

Amid talk of the buy-back clause, there will no doubt be a discussion over whether or not Chelsea should look to re-sign the striker.

Chelsea, despite bringing in Romelu Lukaku over the summer, continue to struggle in front of goal.

And whilst some fans may not like Abraham, he would finish 2020/21 as Chelsea’s joint-top scorer in all competitions even though he was frozen out by Thomas Tuchel when he arrived in January of last year.

For Roma, meanwhile, Abraham has scored 10 and assisted three in 22 Serie A outings, whilst also netting six in six in the Europa Conference League.
