Footage no doubt set to bring a smile to the collective faces of the Newcastle United fanbase has surfaced on Friday evening.

The clip in question centers on big-money January arrival Bruno Guimaraes.

Gifted midfielder Guimaraes, one of no fewer than five additions to Eddie Howe’s Magpies ranks – alongside Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood, Matt Targett and Dan Burn – this winter, was delayed in actually making the move to Tyneside.

This came with the now ex-Olympique Lyonnais standout having been called up by Brazil for the country’s latest round of World Cup qualifiers this week.

On Friday, though, Guimaraes was finally afforded the opportunity to fly out to Newcastle, ahead of beginning the next chapter of his career at St. James’ Park.

And, as alluded to above, the first step of this journey came in the form of being introduced to his new teammates, as well as boss Eddie Howe, footage of which can be seen below:

Toffees clash

Turning attentions back towards the pitch, Newcastle are set to mark their return to action in a crunch showdown with fellow Premier League strugglers Everton next week.

Amid a tense battle against the drop, Eddie Howe and co. will welcome the Toffees, now led by Frank Lampard on the back of the Englishman’s appointment earlier this week, to Tyneside for a potentially significant outing at the foot of the English top-flight table.

Should the newly reinforced Magpies manage to emerge from proceedings victorious, they will, at least temporarily, climb out of the relegation places, and to within a solitary point of faltering Everton in 16th.
