A Chelsea star has been singled out for criticism after a poor start in the Blues’ meeting with Plymouth.

Chelsea are currently hosting League One outfit Plymouth in an FA Cup 4th round tie.

Following Middlesbrough’s downing of Manchester United on Friday, the League One minnows’ hopes of getting a result at Stamford Bridge were likely boosted.

But very few could have predicted just how well their side would start the tie.

Plymouth dominated the early exchanges and took the lead after eight minutes via a Macaulay Gillesphey header.

Romelu Lukaku targeted

The Gillesphey header came from a free-kick, which Romelu Lukaku was marking the goalscorer for.

And as shown in the video above, Lukaku’s marking and challenge for the ball was less than great.

This has lead to the Belgian coming in for a fair bit of criticism early in the game, with just some of that shown below:
