Rodrigo Bentancur made his Tottenham debut on Saturday and has reportedly wowed Antonio Conte.

The midfielder was signed from Juventus in the dying stages of the January transfer window and was given his first runout on Saturday when Tottenham faced off with fellow Premier League outfit Brighton in the 4th round of the FA Cup.

Bentancur did not start the tie, but came off the bench for the final 13 minutes of normal time.

Though he was only on the pitch for a short period, Bentancur, as per football.london, made a big impression in his short time on the pitch.

They report that it didn’t take Bentancur long to wow the 54,697 fans inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, along with Antonio Conte and the Uruguayan’s teammates as he produced a moment of real quality on the edge of his own box.

Bentancur would drag the ball back to fool Brighton’s Evan Ferguson and subsequently gain an extra yard of space before passing the ball back to Sergio Reguilon to help get Spurs out of danger. Many fans applauded his outstanding play.

Kane at the double

Elsewhere vs Brighton, Harry Kane bagged himself a brace and a Solly March own goal ensured that Spurs came away with a 3-1 win on the day to book their spot in the next round.

As well as making it into the 5th round, Spurs fans were no doubt pleased to see Kane looking somewhere close to his best once more.

The Englishman’s form fell off a cliff following his summer transfer saga, but he now looks to be coming back into his own at a crucial time in the season for the Champions League-chasing Spurs.
