Borussia Dortmund are worried about Premier League outfit Liverpool trying to sign one of their top stars, according to reports.
As per Football Insider, Dortmund are advancing talks over a new contract for Jude Bellingham amid fears Liverpool are lining up a mega summer swoop for the Englishman.
It is added that Liverpool are expected to be in the market for a central midfielder in the next window and Bellingham is on their target list.
As a result, Dortmund are stepping up plans to secure Bellingham to a new contract and want a deal in place ahead of the summer. This comes despite Bellingham being under contract with Germany until 2025.
But, though not confirmed, you would assume that any new deal would likely come with some sort of hefty release clause.

Should Liverpool end up signing Bellingham, it looks as though they would be getting a top central midfielder who should be one of Europe’s best in the coming years.
Bellingham would join Borussia Dortmund in July of 2020.
The young midfielder had previously shone in the Championship with Birmingham and, despite his limited experience, the 18-year-old went on to become an instant success in Germany.
So far, Bellingham has notched an impressive 75 appearances for Dortmund, in which he has scored eight goals and provided 14 assists.
The teenager has also impressed on the biggest stage, putting on some superb displays vs Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League last season.
And though he is not yet a guaranteed starter, Bellingham has already begun to showcase what an asset he will be for England over the course of the next decade and beyond, too.
