Newcastle vs Everton

Everton head into the Newcastle clash in desperate need of three points.

Lampard may have gotten off to a solid start with the Toffees in the FA Cup this past weekend, but their league form is obviously the biggest concern right now.

Everton are sat 16th in the English top-flight at the time of writing and have won just one of their last 14 league matches.

As a result, Everton have slipped to within four points of the relegation zone – though they do have a game in hand on 18th place.

Regardless, it is not a great position to be in for a club that no doubt have hopes of securing some form of European football in the near future.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are 19th in the PL with two wins to their name from 21 attempts, but a win on Tuesday could still see them move out of the bottom three for the time being.
