Marcelo Bielsa would speak to the press on Friday morning ahead of his side’s next outing.

Leeds will face off with Everton at Goodison Park at 3 pm UK time on Saturday the 12th of February.

Bielsa would discuss a number of topics in his pre-Everton press conference, including team news.

And it is not great news for the Peacocks, with four Leeds players set to miss out vs the Toffees.

Firstly, the Argentine stated that Junior Firpo is healthy, but will not be considered this weekend: “He is healthy but we are not going to anticipate his return, we think it will be next weekend.”

Later in the presser, Bielsa then confirmed that Firpo will be out along with Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips: “No, Bamford, Phillips, Cooper and Firpo like in the game against Aston Villa won’t be considered against Everton.”

Marcelo Bielsa discussed Leeds’ alternative striking options

With Bamford sidelined, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have still been able to find the net regularly of late.

The Whites have scored seven in their last three Premier League outings and are expected to be amongst the goals again when they face an Everton side who have conceded 38 in 21.

The reason for this has largely been down to Daniel James and Rodrigo working well as the striker and second striker, something Bielsa discussed on Friday: “They compliment each other, Rodrigo is able to act as a centre forward and James is constantly opening up spaces for him. They compliment each other because Rodrigo has a good capacity for a pass and James makes a lot of movement.”
