Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have taken to social media in their numbers on Sunday afternoon, to highlight the importance of a pair of absentees on the back of the club’s meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Spurs, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago.
On the back of an alarming 3-2 defeat at the hands of Southampton in midweek, the Lilywhites on this occasion welcomed Bruno Lage’s Wolves to north London, eyeing a much-needed bounce-back result.
When all was said and done in the English capital, however, to say that the woes of Antonio Conte’s men only continued to deepen would be putting it lightly.
Another concerning showing ultimately culminated in Tottenham being put to the sword by two goals to nil, dealing a considerable blow to the club’s hopes of clinching a top-4 berth in the process.

‘The difference’
In turn, on the back of the action coming to a close at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it should come as little surprise to hear of the hosts’ fanbase making their voices very much heard across social media.
Whilst some have simply been keen to take aim at the underperforming members of Antonio Conte’s squad, though, others have instead pointed towards the importance of a pair of those to have missed out entirely on Sunday afternoon.
The duo in question? Oliver Skipp and Eric Dier…

Skipp and Dier are proving their worth to Spurs every single match they’re not on the pitch. The sooner we can get Sanchez and Winks off the better our performances will be. #COYS #BackConte in the summer window or for fucks sake sell the fucking club to someone who will!
