Kieran Trippier was signed by Newcastle United during the January transfer window.

The right-back was brought in from Atletico Madrid for a fee reported to be £13.5m.

Since making the switch back to England, Trippier has been a real revelation for Eddie Howe’s side.

The defender has brought leadership, passion and quality to a Newcastle side lacking in all three.

In his four Premier League outings for the Magpies to date, Trippier has helped Newcastle pick up three wins and one draw, a superb record for a side that had previously won just one league game all season.

In said games, Trippier has scored two goals. Both of them were free-kicks, with the latest coming in Newcastle’s 1-0 win over Aston Villa on February 13th:

How long will Kieran Trippier be out for?

The win over Aston Villa was not all positive for Trippier, however, as he was forced off 48 minutes into the clash due to injury:

This leaves Newcastle very light at right-back, with Trippier’s quality and impact on this Newcastle side set to be a real big miss.

So, Newcastle fans are no doubt desperate to learn when Kieran Trippier will be back.

Unfortunately for the Magpies, Trippier looks set for a spell on the sidelines, with it reported by the Mirror on February 14th that the Englishman will be out for at least six weeks with a broken bone in his foot.

Six weeks from February 14th takes us to the 28th of March and means Trippier will miss clashes with West Ham, Brentford, Brighton, Chelsea and Crystal Palace.

Newcastle’s first game after the 28th is vs Tottenham on April 2nd.
