PSG would play host to Carlo Ancelotti’s men in the first of two Champions League Round of 16 ties.

The first outing was at the Parc des Princes and with no away goal rules now in place, it was pretty clear that Real Madrid’s plan was to take a 0-0 draw back to the Spanish capital.

Now, after missing vs Madrid, it has been revealed that Lionel Messi has matched Thierry Henry’s record for most missed penalties in Champions League history while surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo for most penalty attempts.

Messi has missed five of 23 penalty attempts in the competition. A pretty average record for someone of Lionel Messi’s high standard, with it probably fair to say that penalties are the weakest area of the South American’s game.
