Manchester United loanee Anthony Martial was on target on Thursday evening, as Sevilla took a considerable step towards the next round of the Europa League.

Julen Lopetegui’s La Liga high-flyers got their campaign on the continent back underway a short time ago, in a meeting with Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb.

And the hosts went on to open the scoring from the penalty spot early in proceedings, as Ivan Rakitic slotted home in typically cool fashion.

Dinamo, though, struck back with 40 minutes on the clock, courtesy of star man Mislav Orsic, who did superbly to take down a long ball to the back post, before lashing beyond Bono in the Sevilla net.

But the Spaniards took little time in reestablishing their advantage, before putting the clash, and potentially tie as a whole, to bed within the space of two minutes.

Lucas Ocampos was first on target, before the aforementioned Anthony Martial bagged his maiden goal in Sevilla colours, picking out the far corner courtesy of a pinpoint strike:

Martial’s latest goal of course sees the Frenchman build on a fine start to life in Andalusia.

Since departing Manchester United on the back of an altogether testing opening half to the campaign, Martial has found a new lease of life in Julen Lopetegui’s setup.

Across a trio of appearances, the 26-year-old has now directly contributed to a pair of goals, with his strike versus Dinamo having come fresh on the back of a fine assist in Sevilla’s 2-0 downing of Elche at the weekend.

In fact, so impressive was Martial last time out, that the home support in attendance at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan provided their on-loan frontman with a standing ovation upon his exit from proceedings:
