Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has, on Friday, dropped something of a hint over his plans in north London.
The subject of Conte’s future has, of course, emerged as headline news over the course of the week to date.
This comes on the back of an interview carried out by the former Chelsea coach with beIN Sports, during which Conte appeared to aim a swipe at the Spurs hierarchy, in suggesting that his squad had been ‘weakened’ in January:
”Four players left in January. Four important players for Tottenham, two have arrived. So even numerically instead of reinforcing, you may have, on paper, weakened.”
Not only that, but the Italian, from here, revealed his take that the Lilywhites are currently in possession of just a 1% chance of securing a top-4 berth in the Premier League:
”I’ve always said that I have to feel only one per cent the possibility to win the league. Here it is strange because maybe I feel the one per cent possibility to finish fourth.
”The level of this league is very high and there is not a lot of space for other teams than the top teams.”
” % !”
Antonio Conte admits that the task at Tottenham is “totally different” to his previous jobs and offers a frank assessment on making the #UCL next season.

‘Four months to the end of the season…’
In turn, speaking in a press conference ahead of his side’s crunch clash with table-topping Manchester City this weekend, it came as little surprise when the subject of Conte’s future was brought to the fore.
And, in the process, the Spurs boss appeared to make use of the opportunity to reiterate his stance on the prospect of a long-term stay in north London.
In comments which will no doubt set alarm bells ringing across the Tottenham fanbase, Conte suggested that he remains committed to the Lilywhites cause, albeit only for the remainder of the season, after which point ‘we’ll see’…
Conte today said he is happy for now but no assurance past this season: “I always said I’m enjoying my time with Tottenham, enjoying working with these players. We have four months to the end of this season and we have to try to do our best. And then we’ll see.” #thfc https://t.co/Fe9FOohJDp
