Burnley head coach Sean Dyche has, on Saturday evening, provided updates on the fitness of a pair of key members of his squad, in the form of Maxwel Cornet and Wout Weghorst.

Fears quickly spread across the Clarets’ fanbase earlier today, during the club’s showdown with Brighton & Hove Albion.

This came with both summer arrival Cornet, and January addition Weghorst, having appeared to pick up fitness problems over the course of the 90 minutes.

The former’s proved of particular concern, with Cornet, after being struck by a shot at goal, having ultimately been forced to limp off.

In turn, speaking to the media on the back of the action coming to a close at the AMEX Stadium, Sean Dyche was inevitably asked for an update on the wellbeing of his two star attackers.

And, in a boost for all associated with the club, the Burnley boss went on to confirm that both Cornet and Weghorst should be available to feature from the off in the club’s next outing, at home to Tottenham on Wednesday night.

Updates were too forthcoming on the fitness of both Charlie Taylor and Johann Berg Gudmundsson:

Injury concerns aside, it of course proved a stellar afternoon’s work for the Clarets on the south coast on Saturday.

This comes with Dyche and co. having completely dominated their much fancied hosts, to eventually come away with a deserved 3-point haul.

Goals on the part of all of Wout Weghorst, Josh Brownhill and Aaron Lennon guided Burnley to a dominant 3-0 triumph, with the Lancashire outfit, in turn, having climbed off the foot of the Premier League table, into 19th.
