Footage of Arsenal youngster Omari Hutchinson finding the net during an outing for the club’s U23s has come to the fore on Monday evening.

The clip in question comes on the back of the Gunners’ latest crop of up-and-coming starlets making the trip to the Midlands, for a Premier League 2 meeting with Leicester City.

Kevin Betsy’s men headed into proceedings aware that a 3-point haul was something of a must, amid the club’s efforts to hunt down table-topping Manchester City.

When all was said and done, though, Arsenal were ultimately forced to settle for a share of the spoils.

It was Leicester who opened the scoring on the quarter of an hour mark, when Tawanda Jethro Maswanhise stepped up to slot home from the penalty spot.

But the evening’s visitors soon fought their way back into proceedings.

After being slipped in on the left side of the Leicester area courtesy of a pinpoint through ball from Salah Eddine Oulad M’Hand, the aforementioned Omari Hutchinson did the rest, cutting inside onto his trusty right foot, before lashing home at the near post to round out the game’s scoring:

Arteta’s attentions piqued

For those not aware, Hutchinson’s stellar exploits at youth level this season have not gone at all unnoticed on the part of Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.

The attack-minded midfielder, who has racked up eight goals and six assists across 19 outings in all competitions, has in fact been included in the Gunners’ matchday setup for a number of senior fixtures of late.

The latest came just this past weekend, when Hutchinson was afforded a spot on the bench for the club’s Premier League win over Brentford:
