An insight into the impact of Leeds United’s appointment of Jesse Marsch on the club’s ongoing pursuit of RB Salzburg star Brenden Aaronson has been provided on Friday.
Gifted United States international Aaronson was of course hotly tipped to make the move to Elland Road throughout the January transfer window.
This came with Leeds continuing to struggle amid their efforts to stave off relegation back to the Championship, and the 21-year-old in the midst of a stellar campaign to date.
All told, Aaronson has directly contributed to 14 goals in 31 outings across all competitions in 2021/22.

Those of a Peacocks persuasion hopeful of their side reigniting their pursuit of Aaronson in the summer were therefore no doubt left concerned upon news breaking of Marcelo Bielsa, who had evidently green lighted a move for the American, being dismissed late last month.
If the latest word stemming from the media over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, however, then such supporters need not fret.
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, speaking on the Que Golazo transfer show, in fact, the arrival of Jesse Marsch, the man to have replaced Bielsa on the Leeds bench, only increases the chances of fellow countryman Aaronson landing in west Yorkshire ahead of next season.
“My answer is yes because the relationship is great,” Romano replied when asked if Marsch’s appointment boosts Leeds’ hopes of clinching the signature of the Salzburg starlet.
“Let me say, and it’s good news for Leeds fans, many players speak very highly of Jesse Marsch.
“They wanted him in January with Marcelo Bielsa. And I’m sure they still want him and they will try for him in the summer. A lot of it will depend on whether Leeds stay in the Premier League or not.”

Turning attentions back towards the pitch, the Marsch era at Leeds United will of course be kicked fully into gear in less than 24 hours’ time.
This comes with the Whites set to make the trip to the King Power Stadium, for a Premier League meeting with Leicester City.
Fans of Saturday’s struggling visitors, for obvious reasons, will be hopeful of the ‘new manager bounce’ coming into full effect in the Midlands, with Leeds, as things stand, clear of the drop zone by just two points.
