Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka joined his manager in the club’s history books on Sunday, after finding the net versus Watford.

The stat in question comes after Saka, quickly establishing himself as something of a cult hero in north London, started and shone once more in the Gunners’ Premier League trip to Vicarage Road.

First, inside five minutes, the English international teed up Martin Odegaard to open the game’s scoring.

Then, a short time later, Saka turned goalscorer himself, lashing home from the edge of the area after a perfect layoff from Alexandre Lacazette:

And, in the process of adding to his tally for the campaign, as alluded to above, Saka went on to join Mikel Arteta in the Arsenal history books.

This comes with the Hale End product having now racked up fourteen Premier League goals in the colours of the Gunners, precisely the number managed by his current boss across his own playing stint at the Emirates:

Martinelli makes sure

Saka’s latest pair of goal contributions, of course, ultimately proved crucial to guiding Arsenal to a 4th-straight league victory on Sunday.

Despite Roy Hodgson’s relegation-battling Watford giving a solid account of themselves, Gabriel Martinelli’s fine strike early in the 2nd-half proved enough to guide the Gunners to all three points:

Arteta’s troops, in turn, have climbed clear of Manchester United into 4th in the Premier League table, despite boasting no fewer than three games in hand.
