The Arsenal faithful have taken to social media in their numbers on Sunday, to single one at times underappreciated member of the club’s squad out for special praise.

The Gunners, of course, were back in action a short time ago.

On the back of a trio of successive Premier League victories, Mikel Arteta’s men made the trip to Vicarage Road to face Watford, aware that another 3-point haul would guide them clear of Manchester United into the top-4.

And, when all was said and done, emerge triumphant is precisely what Arsenal managed.

A pulsating 90 minutes, featuring goals, drama and chances galore, ultimately saw the visitors emerge on the right side of a 3-2 scoreline, owing to strikes on the part of all of Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli:

‘Redemption’

On the back of the full-time whistle bringing the exchanges to a close at Vicarage Road, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of Arsenal’s supporters making their delight clear.

Taking to social media in their numbers, those of a Gunners persuasion have singled the likes of goalscorers Odegaard and Saka out for widespread praise.

As alluded to above, though, it was another, less heralded member of Mikel Arteta’s ranks whom many others were keen to point towards as vital to the club’s eventual triumph on Sunday.

The player in question? Thomas Partey.
