Tottenham and Everton are currently locked in Premier League action at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham headed into the clash looking to regain some ground on West Ham, Manchester United and Arsenal in the race for the top-four, knowing a win on Monday would put them two points behind 5th with two games in hand.

And though Spurs’ form has been patchy of late, Antonio Conte and co. likely fancied their chances against an Everton side who have lost four of their last five league games and are flirting with the relegation zone.

Everton kicked off in north London sat 17th in the Premier League only one point above 17th-place Burnley, though the Toffees do have another game in hand on the Clarets after Monday.

And things quickly turned south for the away outfit on Monday as Tottenham found themselves two goals to the good after less than 20 minutes.

Pickford & Keane targeted

First up, Ryan Sessegnon would make a darting run into Everton’s box, picking up Ben Davies’ pass before putting in a dangerous cross, which was put in by Michael Kane.

Harry Kane, Dejan Kulusevski and Heung-min Son would all link up to score Spurs’ second 17 minutes in, with Jordan Pickford’s attempts to save the goal less than impressive:

Following Tottenham taking an early two-goal lead, both Keane and Pickford have been heavily targeted on social media, with just some of the reaction showcased below:
