Jesse Marsch has been speaking to the media ahead of Leeds United’s next outing.

Leeds will face off with Aston Villa in a Premier League clash at 7:45 pm UK time on Thursday.

Ahead of the game, Marsch discussed a number of topics in his presser, including team news.

101 covered news of Tyler Roberts’ injury on Tuesday, and when speaking in his presser on Wednesday, Marsch confirmed that Roberts is expected to be out for 3-4 months: “Want to acknowledge the injury with Tyler. We knew it was going to be a heavy injury right away.

“Tyler was adamant he wanted to stay on. He had a successful surgery. He was in positive spirits. We’re hopeful he’ll make a full recovery in 3-4 months.”

In more positive news, Marsch stated that Patrick Bamford will be on the bench vs Villa: “Patrick will play for sure tomorrow. He won’t start but he’ll be ready from the bench.”

Leeds vs Aston Villa

Leeds head into the Villa game with the worst form in the Premier League, losing their last five outings.

The Peacocks also have the worst defence in the division, shipping a worrying 61 goals in 27 games.

Such poor form has seen Leeds slip down to 16th in the Premier League. And though they are currently two points clear of the relegation zone, 18th-place Burnley actually have a game in hand on the Yorkshire outfit.

So, Leeds fans are no doubt praying that they put in a similar display to the one they did in Marsch’s first game in charge, which was vs Leicester City this past weekend.

Leeds lost the game 1-0, but it was still a significant improvement on what we had seen towards the end of Marcelo Bielsa’s reign.
