Bruno Fernandes is a doubt for Manchester United’s meeting with Tottenham on Saturday.

Manchester United are set to face off with Tottenham in Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off at 5: 30 pm UK time.

The game is a huge one for both sides, with a loss likely to be very damaging in both their hunts for a top-four finish.

Manchester United were knocked off 4th spot by Arsenal on Sunday after the Gunners beat Watford and United lost to Manchester City.

The Manchester outfit are now one point behind Arsenal, but Mikel Arteta’s side do have three games in hand.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are down in 7th, but could catch Manchester United if they win their games in hand or pick up a win this weekend.

Bruno Fernandes out vs Tottenham?

Before the game, some Manchester United team news has emerged and it is unlikely to please the United fans.

According to reports, all of Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay and David de Gea have tested positive for Covid.


This would, if true, leave Manchester United very light in midfield for their clash, with all of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Fred likely to start the game.

Given Matic’s age and Pogba’s lack of defensive ability, it is unlikely to be a selection that pleases the United faithful.

But whilst Manchester United are seemingly short-staffed in midfield vs Spurs, fresh reports suggest David de Gea could actually feature due to reports of a potential false-positive Covid test:
